Updated yesterday

Analytics

Will there be analytics to run on the Project level?

This feature will not be available in the initial release of EpilogueIQ. Data will be presented from the aggregate level initially.

Will EpilogueIQ provide the ability to view the "popularity" or consumption of materials based on which project they are in?

This feature will also not be available in the initial release of EpilogueIQ. Data will be presented from the aggregate level initially.

Will Epilogue IQ have the users tied to the data for analytics as well, like in Opus? Or is EIQ using a different model that would allow us to delete users in the future?
Your users, even if deleted in User Management, will still have data that feeds into overall usage or adoption analytics for you.

Certification

Will author certification be available for EpiulogueIQ?

Yes, we will offer an author certification. This will be available in 2026. Stay tuned for more information!

Will my Opus author certification still be valid for EpilogueIQ?

For those users who have earned their Opus author certification, those will remain valid for the Opus product until one year past their issue date. An Opus author certification does not automatically transfer to EpilogueIQ as it is a significant change to the product.

Communication

Will you provide me emails and handouts I can share with my company to announce the change?

We will provide our customers the materials they need to announce the change and encourage use of EpilogueIQ.

Consumption

Will the outputs look different to end users?

Yes. It will be the same information but formatted in a way that is easier to consume.

Will these outputs be usable on mobile devices?

This will not be available in the first release. It will be added functionality in future releases.

Will eAssistant still exist in EpilogueIQ?

The EpilogueIQ extension will continue to provide an eAssistant output mode.

Will we be able to assign learning to users and track their progress?
We do have an initial feature planned that will allow administrators to bookmark content for users and the analytics will show the users' learning activity in the system. Down the road, we will continue to expand content modes and allow more robust assignment and reporting.

Content Management

We are an "Author Only" customer. Is there a way to bulk download all documents after they are converted to the new look and feel?

Yes, you will be able to bulk download content in PDF format from EpilogueIQ. There is a limit in EpilogueIQ of 15 items at a time, just as there is in Opus.

In the content manager, will I be able to create a view that shows which assets are part of a book or books?

The ability to create a view of assets that are part of books is not part our current functionality for EpilogueIQ.

Conversion of Materials

If I'm an early adopter and I can go back and forth between Epilogue IQ and Opus, what does that mean for content I'm editing? If I make a change in EpilogueIQ, will it reflect in Opus?

Yes, with restrictions. If the feature exists in Opus, the edits will appear in Opus. If it is functionality that is unique to EpilogueIQ, it can't be viewed in Opus.

Will content that has been converted to EpilogueIQ be automatically published or will it change to unpublished and then publish when reviewed?

The content state will convert 1:1 with Opus to EpilogueIQ. Therefore, published items remain published and unpublished remain unpublished.

What is the impact on existing content recorded and published in Opus, will this need to be re-recorded to allow for new output types mentioned or migrated to EpilogueIQ?

For new content types (i.e., in-app tool tips), you would need to record it fresh as there was not a corresponding feature in Opus. However, some new content types will not be "need to record" items, but "create in editor" items such as "journeys" and "checklists".

How will users access already existing published Opus Content? Today they are using Content Library (ability to directly link?) and from Opus Web Advisor (browser Chrome application).

The content in your EpilogueIQ library will be linkable, searchable from the library, and viewable in the Advisor, just as it is in your Opus Content library.

Will there be a migration path necessary to move to EpilogueIQ?

There will be a toggle to allow you to see the new interface and you can switch back & forth between the two interfaces until the time Opus is retired (stay tuned for details on a specific cut off date).

I'm concerned about the conversion of my current materials as I have over a thousand documents in my content manager. Do you anticipate that this conversion will take longer for me when I flip the switch to EpilogueIQ?

Great question! The conversion is not triggered by your action. It will already be converted in the background and when you toggle over to EpilogueIQ, it will be ready for you.

What happens if my materials don't convert well or get damaged in the move? Is there a backup of them somewhere?

The content will still be in Opus for you. Opus will still be available for you to use as you get acclimated to EpilogueIQ.

Are my materials being moved from Opus to EpilogueIQ or are they copies that will be replicated in EpilogueIQ?

Technically it is not a move, your material is still housed in the same data site. When you view an item in EpilogueIQ, it is the same item that you can see in Opus - just with an improved look and feel!

Can I play with EpilogueIQ in my sandbox tenant instead of in my regular tenant?

Yes, you can switch to EpilogueIQ in your sandbox and not in your regular tenant so that you can get comfortable with the new interface.

How long will it take to migrate materials from Opus to EpilogueIQ?

Our development team will migrate your materials automatically so there will be no "heavy lifting" on your part. The content will be converted in the background and when you toggle over to EpilogueIQ, it will be ready for you.

Creation

Will there be an entirely new “Recording Tool” that will replace Opus Recorder?

Yes, but our extension will still record content. The interface may be different, but the recorder will still capture the content as you've always known it to.

Should I wait to push content until EpilogueIQ?

Continue building your content in Opus! It will all convert over to EpilogueIQ.

Is voiceover AI in the roadmap? If so, when can we plan for that?

We have plans to add a speech element to EpilogueIQ. This will not be part of the initial release but will be added in a feature release.

Finance and Contracts

Will the cost of subscriptions increase?

Your current Epilogue MSA will remain unchanged for pricing. In order to lock in current pricing, we suggest a multi-year contract.

Will it require any additional licensing?

If you are a current customer under contract, EpilogueIQ does not have additional cost.

Projects

Will my current projects and their structure (attributes, tasks, team members) remain the same when they move to EpilogueIQ from Opus?

Yes! They will remain the same as these all live in the same data site, they'll just be presented in a fresher format in EpilogueIQ.

Security and Infrastructure

Will there be a whitepaper available that defines EpilogueIQ the same way you provided one for OpusAI?

Yes, we will provide a whitepaper that defines EpilogueIQ.

Will EpilogueIQ be SOC2 compliant?

Yes, Epilogue Systems is SOC2 Type 2 certified.

Will it be FEDRamp compliant?

No, EpilogueIQ will not be FEDRamp compliant.

Is EpilogueIQ only a facelift on our existing UI (Azure Application) or is this an entirely new application?

Yes to both. We are building a new application but it is still on the same AWS structure that Opus is on.

Should I plan on needing to have a security review from my company because this is a different platform? I don't want it to impede our adoption if there are infrastructure differences that could get flagged up by my company.

The technical differences are minimal to non-existant. There is a slight change in whitelisting URL. Epilogue Systems will provide you a technical specifications document that you can share with your team to determine if they wish to have a security review.

Are you changing your data center?

We are not changing our data center.

Which cloud service providers are you using or is this a private cloud?

We utilize a private hosted cloud within AWS.

Will Epilogue Systems do an independent security assessment on our updated instance?

The EpilogueIQ instance is the same as Opus's instance therefore our current environment's security assessments will continue.

What are you doing to ensure there are no security issues with EpilogueIQ?

We will continue to do our penetration testing for EpilogueIQ just as we do for Opus. No security protocols are changing.

Will the download of the extensions be downloaded directly from Opus or are they redirects to the Chrome store?

The EpilogueIQ extension will be on the chrome extension store. Users will be directed there from EpilogueIQ to download it.

Can administrators limit access to the new system to just admins as they begin using EpilogueIQ?

As a system administrator, you can select which roles have access to EpilogueIQ from their settings page.

Does EpilogueIQ use the same database as Opus?

Yes, we are not changing our data center. The content will live in the same data lake and be called up to EpilogueIQ just as it is with Opus.

Support

How long will support for Opus be available?

This is undetermined at this time. We will be encouraging our customers to fully adopt EpilogueIQ by about the six month mark after the official launch of EpilogueIQ. Keep a look out for further communication about Support for Opus ending.

Timeline

As an administrator, do I have the ability to make EpilogueIQ available to the rest of users (creators, consumers)_ or do I need to prompt them to switch to it?

As a system administrator, you will have the ability to manage the switch to EpiliogueIQ. You can choose a forced switch for your users or allow them to toggle back and forth independently.

What is the deadline for moving off of Opus to EpilogueIQ?

At this time, we do not have a deadline. We will be encouraging our customers to fully adopt EpilogueIQ by about the six month mark after the official launch of EpilogueIQ. Keep a look out for further communication about Support for Opus ending.

How much time should customers assume the "transition" will take? (i.e. from the start of communication with end-users to total switch)

The Epilogue Systems team recommends you give your admins and authors 2-4 weeks to explore EpilogueIQ and get comfortable with it's features.

Set aside a day to "flip the switch" and verify your information and access are correct.

Post-switch, admins should budget 2-4 weeks to promote adoption and support your users with the change.

Can we see the AI roadmap?

We are excited to share our future AI developments. At this time, we do not have a formal document publicly available. As soon as it's ready for you, we will share it out!

Can we see the EpilogueIQ roadmap for what comes after the initial release?

We are excited to share our EpilogueIQ roadmap with you. Once EpilogueIQ has been released, we will share the detailed roadmap for future enhancements.

Training

Is there a non-prod instance that we can use to test this?

Your organization can choose to utilize their sandbox site to test EpilogueIQ if you'd like.

Keep in mind, you can always toggle back & forth between Opus and EpilogueIQ during the initial release, so you may have no need for a separate sandbox tenant.

User Management

Will we need to change our Opus application name in our SSO provider application list? (Okta, Azure/Entra, IBM, etc.)

You SSO administrator can name the application to whatever makes the most sense for your organization, with that said, it's recommended that the application name in your SSO application list match the application being configured. (In other words, you can rename it but you don't need to for SSO to continue to function).

Misc.

Are there any advancements with Advisor Context?

We do have plans for enhancing our context functionality, including for single page applications. These will be incorporated in future releases.

Any advancements in EpilogueIQ to detect the language of the dashboard based on needs?

Your EpilogueIQ page will load in the language your browser is set to.

Can OpusAI interact with CoPilot?

There are no plans for having EpilogueIQ interact with CoPilot

Will there be more APIs available? And where else can we surface the content and so on and so forth?

If your organization is interested in an API connection, we'd love to hear which type interest you. Currently, we have worked with customers to develop APIs for their ITSM software. In addition, we have other items on our product roadmap that puts more APIs in play as different ways to surface content across systems.

What is the certification process to make sure that anything authored in Epilogue IQ plays out well in Opus versus if something authored in Opus plays out right in Epilogue IQ?
As a system administrator, we know you're anxious about not losing functionality. Epilogue Systems employs multiple teams (development, QA, and UAT) that thoroughly test the code. We are also engaging with current clients who have early access to ensure that the content works for them. To note, we've fixed some issues with the formatting in Opus so you may see a cleaner version in EpilogueIQ.
